An Awesome Auction

We held an auction at college yesterday to raise money for Bologna and it was an incredible night, with beautiful artwork at really affordable prices, some very lucky people (myself included) walked away with treasures for the wall. The cherry on the cake is the amount of money raised - over £1250! It took a lot of hard work to organise so well done Mel and Pam, well done to everyone who donated their artwork and thanks to all the people who came along. Whens the next one???

Above is only a really small sample of the beautiful work on display at Foyles and I would love to have taken photos of everyones board and dummy book(s). I was completely overwhelmed and felt so very proud to be on the course. I know(ish, I will know more this time next year) how much blood, sweat and tears these guys have put in to get to this point and the respect I have for all of them is off the scale. They all (and i do mean all) have produced work that shows an individuality and a personally developed visual language. I'm certainly looking forward to showing my work alongside them at Bologna Childrens Book Fair 2013.

Duxford research trip

i took my son to duxford imperial war museum as i wanted to do some research for my masters project, they have some wonderful machines there and it helps that my two year old adores it too. i'm not much of a photographer so my images do not do any of the beautiful planes justice.
